Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer festival and travelling funfair, celebrated annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. This iconic event has been held since 1810 and typically runs for 16 to 18 days from late September to the first Sunday in October, attracting millions of visitors globally. The festival is renowned for its celebration of Bavarian culture, featuring traditional food, folk music, and, of course, a wide variety of beers. In addition to the original Munich event, Oktoberfest celebrations occur in cities across the United States, including Baltimore.
This year, the festival will take place at Leinenkugel's Beer Garden - MD on September 26, 2026. Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with traditional Bavarian music performed by live oompah bands, carnival rides, and an array of delicious German cuisine. The event promises a positive live performance vibe that has been celebrated in past experiences.
As part of the festivities, guests are encouraged to wear traditional Bavarian attire such as Dirndls and Lederhosen. The event is family-friendly during the day but requires attendees to be 21+ for beer consumption.
